Who are we for?
Our house is for people over 55 who do not want to live on their own, but prefer to maintain their independence by living in a small community with key services provided.
“It’s like living in the Ritz!”
“Everyone thought it was wonderful and that Mum couldn’t be in a better place.”
“You gave Mumsie laughter, friendship and wonderful care – you gave her a happy home.”
Abbeyfield offers a unique experience for individuals who occasionally need support. Staff are helpful and excellent listeners.
Abbeyfield works well for those who want a home from home, but don’t require nursing care. We have the freedom to come and go and keep our independence for as long as possible.
The staff are so helpful and patient. The food is excellent and the garden is lovely. There are good social events. It was the right decision to move here.
The Local Area

Life at Abbeyfield
Miles Away are regular visitors and they very generously volunteer to serenade us throughout the afternoon at our annual garden parties.
End Of Summer
At the end of summer, we took the residents to the Udder Farm Shop for a spot of shopping before sitting down to a delicious lunch.
